Washington Township Youth Football

To All Current, or Future WTYFB Football Parents:

As you may or may not be aware, our organization recently consolidated back to a single unit, as opposed to the Minutemen and Patriots,
which have been around since 1992. This change was precipitated by steadily declining numbers, and an outlook providing no reason to
predict an upturn anytime soon.

We are pleased to report that overall, the process of consolidation has been successfully executed to date, with a new board in place, and
coaches also situated at each of our 5 weight levels. We now are in phase '2', where promised bylaw changes will be written and
implemented, and normal football operations for the upcoming season already have begun.

As was stated at our parent meeting, the number one goal of our program is to make sure that every signup is provided the same opportunity to learn and enjoy this game that we love so much. While team numbers will almost surely increase, the quality of dealing with each player will remain as it always was. Our focus will not be impacted, regardless of what the numbers may be.

To that end, there are postings and statements being made by some in an effort to instill some concern, with the hope that maybe some will not sign with Wash Twp Youth Football and play elsewhere. We will and have never stood in the way of any parent to play wherever they may choose. But I assure every parent, that this organization is rock solid, and fully prepared to move forward  with our mission of teaching sportsmanship and football to each and every child. I also caution anyone considering a move, to fully investigate that move and realize that things are not always what they appear to be.

If anyone should have any questions or concerns, I look forward to fully explaining and answering each and every one. All questions can easily be submitted through our website. (anonymous submissions are OK)

Thanks,
Charlie Doud
Commissioner
